How to Create a Free Personal Web Page
Creating your own personal web page can be a challenge, because it costs money to purchase a domain name and web host. Web hosts maintain the servers that handle the traffic and content for your site. But there are ways to create your own web page for free that you can set up quickly and easily and share with friends, family and the Internet community.

1
Register for a free web community that includes a website. For example, Webs.com allows you to join their community with an e-mail address and password. Your website name will be a part of their domain name; for example, Yourwebpagename.webs.com.

2
Write the content you will publish to your web page using word-processing software. Include information about yourself: your community, where you grew up, and the purpose of your personal web page. For example, if you are creating a personal website and you love to travel, write about places you have visited and want to visit. It is easier to create the content for your website using word-processing software, as you can copy and paste directly into the web page creation tool.

Select a template for your personal web page. Depending on the free website community you select, you can choose from hundreds of templates already designed. Templates can range from different colors to themes, such as your favorite cartoon character or movie. For example, if your personal web page is about interior design, choose templates that include houses and vacation homes.

Customize your website with the content you created in your word-processing software program. Copy and paste the content into the new website template you have chosen. Upload any images you took with your digital camera or pictures already stored in your computer.
