How to Install Active Directory Administrative Tools
The Windows 2000 operating system came with Active Directory administrative tools that helped network administrators manage resources on the network. The administrative tools were not installed by default when the administrator installed the Windows 2000 server operating system. Active Directory is a server resource that controls users' permissions, device sharing and other network permissions. The tools added extra utilities, so Windows 2000 administrators could work with older operating systems for compatibility.
