How to Add Twitter to MySpace & Facebook

Twitter is a worldwide micro-blogging service with millions of participants sending tweets, or messages of 140 characters or less. If you use Twitter, you can integrate it with social networking services MySpace and Facebook, or both, and make simultaneous updates across the different services.

Instructions

MySpace

1. Go to the MySpace Sync page (see Resources). This page allows you to add Twitter updates to MySpace. You can also use this page to sync MySpace with your mobile phone.

2. Click the orange "Sync Now" button on the top right side of the page. If you are not signed in to MySpace, you will be prompted to do so. Enter your email address and password in the blue "Log In" box on the right side of the screen and click the "Log In" button.

3. Click the blue "Get Synced" link listed next to Twitter on the "Sync to Other Services" page. This page will also show you what services your MySpace account is linked to.

4. Sign in to Twitter when prompted by entering your Twitter username and password and clicking the blue "Allow" button. If you are already signed in to Twitter, simply click the blue "Allow" button to give MySpace access to your Twitter account. Once authorized, you will be sent back to MySpace.

5. Edit your MySpace and Twitter sync options. These options include allowing Twitter to post to MySpace and vice versa. Click, or unclick, the checkboxes to change permissions and click the silver "Confirm" button.

Facebook

1. Go to the Twitter homepage (see Resources). Sign in to your Twitter account by entering your username and password in the drop-down box at the top right side of the screen.

2. Scroll down to the bottom of your Twitter dashboard and click the "Goodies" link in the footer. This will take you to the Goodies page with two available options, widgets and buttons.

3. Click the "Widgets" link to enter the "Select Your Widget" page. Select the "Facebook" option and click the "Facebook Application" link.

4. Select the "Install Twitter in Facebook" button. This will take you to Facebook. If you are not signed in, do so, and click the "Allow" button to give Twitter's application access to your Facebook account. This takes you to a connection page.

5. Click the blue "Allow" button to connect your Twitter and Facebook accounts. Doing so will redirect you to your Twitter Application page on Facebook, where you will see your connected accounts and confirmation of connection.

Tips & Warnings

• MySpace, Facebook and Twitter can all be synced to your mobile phone as well.
