How to Add a Twitter Widget to Blogger

A Twitter widget is a small application that displays on a Web page and performs a specific process. For example, a "Profile Widget" enables you to present your most recent Twitter entries (tweets) in the quantity that you prefer. Even more, you have the option to add this feature to the website of your choice, such as your Blogger profile, so that your followers have easier access to your information. Add a Twitter widget to your own Blogger page using the tools that Twitter provides.

      Access the Twitter Widgets webpage (see Resources).

      Click the "My Website" link on the left and view the list of widget categories that automatically appear on the page. Each category, such as "Search Widget and "List Widget," offers tools that do different things. Read through the descriptions and click the category link of your choice.

      Enter the required information by clicking a tab, such as "Settings," on the left and then use the menu(s) that display to input your data. For example, the "Profile Widget" setup allows you to select options including the overall look of your widget and how many tweets you display.

      Click the "Test settings" button at the bottom of the page to preview your work. When ready, click the "Finish & Grab Code" button and then click the click the "Add to Blogger" button underneath the code that appears.

      Follow the prompts to log in to your Blogger account. Review the "Add Page Element" page that displays to select the blog that you want the widget to appear on and then click the "Add Widget" button. Your Twitter widget now displays on your Blogger page.
