How to Remove a Folder in Windows Live Photo Gallery

Windows Live Photo Gallery is a media viewing/editing program included in the Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems. This program can be quite useful, as it can search through your entire hard drive for media (pictures and videos specifically) and then show the found files in a convenient viewing window. If you want, you can even navigate through the various folders and subfolders on your computer, just as if you were using Windows Explorer. If you find a folder you want to delete while using this feature, you can remove it.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Windows Live Photo Gallery by clicking on the "Start" menu, going to "All Programs," and then clicking on "Windows Photo Gallery."

    • 2

Click on the right-pointing arrow next to the desired folder in the left navigation pane to display its subfolders. When you reach the folder you want removed, right-click on it.

    • 3

Select "Delete" from the context menu, and then click "Yes" to confirm the folder removal. Empty the Recycle Bin (located on your desktop) to complete the removal process.
