How Can I Print a Deck of Playing Cards?
The standard, classic design of typical playing cards is well known. These images can be found online or can be scanned into your computer using a deck of cards you already own or have purchased for the purpose. Once you have the images, printing a deck of cards is a simple matter of printing them on sturdy card stock and cutting them out with a straight edge paper cutter. To make your deck look more like an actual deck, you'll want to print a design on the back before cutting. Another option is to purchase card stock that is perforated, making the task of separating your deck of cards easier.
Instructions
-
-
1
Load card-stock paper into your printer.
-
2
In an image-editing software package, such as Photoshop, open a file (8 1/2 by 11 inches) for printing.
-
-
3
Copy and paste images of classic card faces onto the open file. Get the images from the Internet or scan them in using a deck of cards. If using standard card sizes, you can get three rows of three cards (nine cards total) to print on a single page of card stock. Leave a little space between the cards.
-
4
Print the page. Then reload the paper to print on the other side.
-
5
Select a simple pattern or even a solid color to print for the backs of the cards. Use a pattern that is small, like stripes, a plaid, or dots, to make sure the backs of the cards all appear identical. In a separate 8 1/2-by-11-inch file, copy and paste the pattern so it fills the page. Print this on the back of your page that has the nine card faces on the front.
-
6
Repeat the steps to print the next nine cards. Continue until you have printed the full deck.
-
7
Cut the cards from the card stock using a paper cutter, or simply separate the cards if you have used perforated card stock.

Tips & Warnings
To make your cards more sturdy, have them laminated. Or simply cover both sides with clear (sticky) contact paper.
