The Canon imageRUNNER 1023N is a tabletop multifunction office copier that uses a single black toner cartridge---the Canon GPR-22 Black Toner (0386B003AA)---for printing. Turn on your Canon imageRUNNER 1023N copier.

Check the LCD screen before you begin using the copier for any of the following error messages:
TONER LOW PREPARE NEW TONER---indicates a low toner level.
OUT OF TONER CHANGE TONER---indicates an improperly installed or empty cartridge.
RECEIVED IN MEMORY---indicates a potential empty cartridge stopping a fax printout although may also indicate an issue with the paper size or a paper jam.
