How To Enable Javascript on Windows Internet Explorer
Given that most, if not all, websites use some form of Java implementation, using Internet Explorer (IE8) without enabling this feature could limit your browsing experience. In fact, you may notice that some web pages do not load correctly. There are many advantages to enabling JavaScript in IE8. One such benefit is the fact that JavaScript can "increase user interaction, animate objects, create drop down navigation, grab data from databases," according to UCLA. Therefore, to take advantage of these and other features, enable JavaScript in IE's settings.

Open IE8 and then choose "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu.

Open the "Security" tab, then click the "Custom level" button.

Scroll to the "Scripting" section and then choose the "Enable" radio button under "Active Scripting."

Select the "Enable" radio button under the "Scripting of Java Applets" section.

Hit "OK," then close the Internet Options dialog box by selecting "OK." Close and restart IE8 for the changes to take effect. You have successfully enabled JavaScript in the web browser.
