How to Install Windows XP on Linux OS

If you prefer the comfort of a Microsoft-based operating system over Linux, it's possible to install Windows XP over your current Linux-based operating system. Accomplish this by removing the partition containing the Linux OS during the XP installation procedure. Back up important files before beginning, as this will erase all information on the Linux drive.

      Insert the XP CD into the PC.

      Restart the Linux PC. Press any key when prompted to boot from CD.

      Press "Enter" at the welcome screen and "F8" at the license agreement.

      Highlight the partition containing Linux, and press "D" to delete it. Press "C" to create a new XP partition. Press "Enter" and select the "NTFS" file system.

      Press "Enter" to install XP to the selected partition, installing it on top of your former Linux OS.
