How to Make a Wish Charm Necklace
Lucky charms such as the number seven, horseshoe, four-leaf clover, dice and a turkey wishbone can be combined to make a "charming" necklace. The charms are available in a variety of metals including silver and gold. After finishing this "wish charm" lariat-style necklace, link a few more lucky charms to make a matching bracelet and pair of earrings. A necklace or matched set would make a thoughtful gift to a special relative or friend.
Things You'll Need
- One 24 inch length of silver or gold round chain
- Small gold or silver lobster clasp
- 10 silver or gold horseshoe, wishbone, lucky seven, four-leaf clover and pair of dice charms
- Chain nose pliers
Instructions
-
-
1
Attach the lobster clasp to the chain end by slightly opening the end circle with the chain nose pliers, inserting the clasp end and closing the chain circle.
-
2
Wrap the chain around your neck and determine where you will attach the clasp to the chain, leaving at least 4 inches of loose chain for the lariat.
-
-
3
Attach a horseshoe charm at the clasp attachment spot with pliers. The charm will serve as an indicator and will make the clasp less obvious.
-
4
Attach the lucky seven, pair of dice and wishbone charms down the length of the lariat.
-
5
Attach a final four-leaf clover charm to the chain.
