How to Upgrade From IE 5
Internet Explorer (IE) 5 was the official web browser for Windows 95. Several new versions of Internet Explorer have been introduced since then, including IE 6, IE 7 and the latest IE 8. If you have a Windows XP computer, you can upgrade from IE 5 to IE 7 or IE 8. However, if your computer's operating system is older than Windows XP, you will be able to upgrade only to IE 6, which supports Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows ME edition.
