How to Make Mint Rosettes
Mint rosette candies make a tasty and colorful decoration for cakes and cookies and they stay fresh for months at a time. You can also wrap them in tulle or tissue paper as party favors, scatter them down table runners as edible centerpiece additions or set several on dessert plates at each place setting as a miniature appetizer.
Though all of these candies taste minty, they needn't all be green. Color your candy mixture to match your wedding colors, red and green for Christmas or pastel blues, peaches and pinks for a beach party.

3
Add about 1/8 teaspoon of mint flavoring and food coloring of your choice. Beat on low until completely mixed.
-
4
Scoop the mixture into a piping bag. These large, flexible plastic bags have interchangeable plastic tips. Snap a rosette tip into place and massage the bag so the mint mixture settles into the bag near the tip.
-
5
Lay several strips of wax paper on a flat surface. Gently squeeze a nickel-sized dollop of mint mixture onto the wax paper. Push the tip in a circle to the right to complete the rosette. Continue until you've used all of the mint mixture. Let the rosettes harden overnight and store in the refrigerator.
