How to Uninstall AVG Anti-Virus

AVG Antivirus is a program designed to keep your computer safe from Internet viruses and attacks. Developed by AVG Technologies, AVG Antivirus may need to be uninstalled if you wish to update to a newer version or if you want to use a different product instead. You can uninstall AVG Antivirus from your computer's hard drive in about five minutes.

• Computer with AVG Antivirus installed

Instructions

1. Turn on your computer and log in to your user account. Click "Start" and click "Control Panel." Double-click the "Programs" icon and a window will open containing a list of all programs and applications currently installed on your computer's hard drive.

2. Scroll down the list and select AVG Antivirus. Click "Remove" and the program's uninstaller application will open. You will be asked if you really want uninstall the program from your hard drive. Click the "Yes" button to continue.

3. Click "Next" and the application will uninstall AVG Antivirus from your computer's hard drive. Wait for uninstalling to reach 100 percent completion then click "Finish." Restart your computer and log in to your user account again. AVG Antivirus will no longer be installed on your computer.
