How to Find What Was Last Typed in Yahoo Messenger
If you want to view what was last typed in Yahoo Messenger, it is easy to do so. The messages typed on Yahoo Messenger are stored in the Message Archive until a user signs out. Messages may be stored longer depending on the user's Message Archive settings. You only need to access Messenger to get started.

Open the Yahoo Messenger window and click "Contacts" from the top menu. You can add contacts and view messages sent to contacts here.

Select "Message Archive" from the Contacts menu. The "Message Archive" window will open.

Click "Messages" from the menu in the pane to the left of the window. A list of your conversations will open. The messages are organized by date.

Click the first message in the archive. The contents of the conversation will open in the pane below the archive list.

Click the scroll bar to the right of the page and scroll to the bottom of the conversation to see the last words typed in Messenger.

If you want to change the Message Archive settings, open the Message Archive, click "Message" when the Archive window opens and then select how long you want messages to be saved.
