How to Recycle Planet Ark Toner

Planet Ark recycles toner bottles from any manufacturer.

Australian environmental nonprofit Planet Ark offers free and convenient toner recycling programs throughout the country. While Planet Ark does not manufacture toner, it does accept toner bottles from any toner manufacturer--including Brother, Canon, Lexmark, Epson and Konica-Minolta--to keep landfill waste down. Planet Ark transports the collected toner bottles (along with printer cartridges and drum units) to Melbourne for sorting, refilling or recycling into raw materials. This cuts down on the amount of new plastic manufactured in Australia.

Instructions

1. Take your used Planet Ark toner cartridges to any of the following office supply stores, which have recycling bins: Australia Post, Officeworks, Dick Smith, Tandy, Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi or The Good Guys. Drop the toner into the recycling bin.

2. Locate a drop box near you using the Planet Ark Recycling Near You database (see Resources). Some public or office buildings contain recycling boxes; these may be closer to you than the office supply stores. Input your address information to find the nearest recycling box. Alternately, call the Planet Ark Recycling Near You Hotline at 1800 24 24 73.

3. Dispose of the used toner in the recycling box you identified using the Planet Ark Recycling Near You.
