How to Add Fonts to Photoshop CS3 on a Mac
While the Mac operating system is packaged with a wider selection of fonts than Windows, there are still many fonts that you might want to add. Like Windows, in the Mac operating system you don't add fonts to a specific program, but rather to the operating system as a whole. Installing fonts is a very simple process in Mac OS X.

1
Close Adobe Photoshop CS3. The program will not detect new fonts if it is running while you install the fonts.
-
2
Locate your downloaded or copied fonts in Finder.
-
-
3
Double-click your fonts archive file to automatically expand it in Mac OS X (most fonts are distributed in zip archives or other types of archival packages).
-
4
Double-click the individual font file that you want to load. Once you double-click it, it will open in Font Book. This will load it, ready for installing (fonts are installed to the "Library" directory in your main mac path).
-
5
Click "Install Font." Once installation is complete, open Adobe Photoshop CS3 to find the new font ready for use.
