How to Run CHKDSK From CMD

How to Run CHKDSK From CMDthumbnail
Run ChkDsk to check for bad hard drive sectors.

The ChkDsk feature is a Windows utility that checks the hard drive for any bad sectors and repairs them. The ChkDsk utility is beneficial when you notice file corruption after saving some of your files to the hard drive. You run ChkDsk on your computer, and Windows disables bad sectors that can't be used. This avoids saving data to corrupted hard drive sectors, which can cause data loss. It also improves performance since the operating system no longer attempts to save data to these sections of the hard drive.
