How to Repair a Burn on Laminate Counter Top
Laminate countertops are a popular choice among homeowners because they are durable, easy to maintain and affordable. Unfortunately, laminate countertops are not impervious to damage, especially heat damage. Hot pots left to rest on laminate causes burn marks, as does a carelessly left cigarette or a candle that has burned down too far. The repair method depends on the severity of the burn. Light burns are easier to remove than deeper burns, while very deep burns are irreparable. Laminate countertops, made from very thin layers of plastic heat-pressed onto kraft paper, as with any plastic, cannot withstand heat. Does this Spark an idea?
