Create your web page if you do not already have one. If you have already created your page, skip to Step 2. Insert HTML coding into the document. Use the following as an example: "<html><head><title> </title></head><body></body></html>." Type your data between the "<body>" tags, for example: Type "<body>body text</body>." Type your title between the "<title>" tags. This title will appear at the top of the browser window. Use "<h1>" tags for headings and "<p>" tags for body text, for example: "<body><h1>Page Heading</h1><p>paragraph one</p><p>paragraph two</p></body>." Proceed in this way for the rest of your data. Once you have signed up with the hosting service, they will provide you with the criteria needed to upload your website pages to your server space. This information includes an ftp location for the upload as well as username and password or authentication.

Upload the HTML page to your server using FTP software such as Dreamweaver or WSFTP. You will place the information received from your hosting service into the software fields provided for this data.
