How to Clean With Tea Tree Oil & Cates

Tea tree oil is an antiseptic and natural antifungal agent, making it an effective alternative to harsh cleaning chemicals found in most name brand cleaners on the market. Tea tree oil can be used as a general cleaner as it is also effective in cleaning mold and mildew. Tea tree oil, including Australia Cate's brand, is relatively inexpensive and you can purchase it at grocery stores and health food stores.

Things You'll Need

• Tea tree oil (Australia Cate brand or other)
• Water
• Spray bottle
• Oil soap
• Kosher salt

Instructions

1. Pour two cups of water into a spray bottle and add two teaspoons of tea tree oil. Mix well. This mixture can be used as a general purpose cleanser for commonly used items including toys and door knobs.

2. Mix 1oz. of oil soap with 14 oz. of water and 10 drops of tea tree oil. Add a dash of kosher salt. This cleaner can be effective on mold and mildew in your bathroom.

3. Add 14 oz. water in an empty spray bottle and mix in 1 oz. of oil soap and 10 drops of tea tree oil. Mix well. This all-purpose cleanser is great for cleaning floors.

Tips & Warnings

• Australia Cate is only one brand of Tea Tree Oil; others will work just as well.

• Do not ingest the tea tree oil as this is only meant for topical use.
