How to Add MP3s As Ringtones Through the SD Card on My Hue
The Hue is a cell phone made by Samsung for the Alltel network. It features an SD card slot, which makes it easy to transfer ringtones, pictures and other media to and from the phone. If you try to transfer ringtones to your Hue through an SD card, though, the MP3s won't automatically be added to your Hue as ringtones--but rather as sounds. In order to add MP3s as ringtones through an SD card on your Hue, you must know how to apply the MP3s as ringtones on the phone.

Insert your SD card into the SD card USB adapter. Plug the USB adapter into your computer's USB port.

Locate the MP3 saved on your computer that you want to add to your Hue as a ringtone. Your MP3 files are usually in your "Music" folder.

Click "Start" and then "My Computer." Your SD card is listed beneath the removable storage drives. Drag and drop the MP3 file that you want to put on your Hue as a ringtone into the "Sounds" folder of your SD card.

Unplug the USB adapter from your computer and then remove the SD card from the adapter. Insert the SD card into your Hue.

Press the "OK" button on your Hue. Scroll to "Settings & Tools" and press "OK." Scroll to "Memory" and press "OK." Scroll to "Card Memory" and press "OK." Scroll to the "Sounds" folder and press "OK."

Scroll to the MP3 that you want to apply as a ringtone on your Hue. Press the right soft key. Scroll to "Send" and press "OK." Input your Hue's cell phone number followed by Alltel's text messaging extension (e.g. "xxxxxxxxxx@message.alltel.com"), and then send the text message to yourself.

Click "OK" when you receive the text message notification to open it. Press the right soft key. Scroll to "Save as Ringtone" and press "OK."

Tips & Warnings
Add more than one ringtone to your SD card, and send more than one ringtone in a text message at a time, if you want to add multiple ringtones to your Hue.
You could be charged for the text message, depending on the cell phone plan that you subscribe to.
