How to Register My Avast Anitvirus Home Edition
The Avast home edition is free to users who register and insert the registration key into the registration box on the software. The antivirus software is downloaded before or after you register to receive the registration key that will keep the Avast Antivirus protecting your computer for one year. After the year is up, you will register again for a new registration key without any interruption of your virus protection.

Visit the Avast website to register your home edition.

Enter your email address twice. Use a current email address that you can check and not a fictitious email address.

Type your name and country where the antivirus is being used. Select the product that you have downloaded or will download. Answer the few questions about the product and your computer. Type in the letters for the security check and click "Register for free license."

Check your email address periodically thereafter. The website tells you that the registration key will arrive within 24 hours, but the email can arrive soon after you submit the registration form. The email will come from Avast Antivirus Registration.

Open your antivirus in the taskbar by right clicking the icon. Click the registration box. Copy the registration key from the email by right-clicking the mouse and selecting "Copy." Paste the registration key into the registration box by right clicking the mouse in the box and selecting "Paste." Click "OK" on the registration box and your antivirus is registered for one year.
