How to Enable Duplexing on the LaserJet 8000

Duplexing can save you a lot of money.

Large format laser printers like the HP LaserJet 8000 are a staple of the business world. These large printers allow many different users to share a single set of resources, making it possible for companies to save money by keeping tighter control of their printer costs. Another way the HP LaserJet 8000 saves companies money is through its duplexing feature. Printing on both sides of the paper can significantly reduce printing costs.

Instructions

1. Turn the printer off and remove the power cord. Open the left side door and slide the duplex unit into the printer. The printer must be off while the duplexer is being installed.

2. Walk over to the HP LaserJet 8000 and press the menu button until the "Paper Handling" menu appears. Click the "Item" button until the "Duplex" feature appears.

3. Press the "Value" button on the printer's control panel to change the "Duplex" setting to "On." The printer is now set up for two-sided printing.
