Sometimes a modem must be reset to regain connectivity to the Internet.

Westell is a DSL (digital subscriber line) modem that is offered by Internet service providers like AT&T and Verizon. There may be cases when you experience limited to no connectivity to the Internet, and either your tech support representative will request you to reset your modem or you may choose to do so yourself to regain Internet connectivity. When resetting your modem, any previous configurations will go back to the factory settings.

Instructions

    • 3

Plug your Westell back into the electrical outlet and turn on your computer.

Insert a paperclip into the reset button of the Westell modem. The reset button is next to the AC connector on the back of the modem. It is a small hole where the paperclip will fix inside. Keep the reset button pressed for approximately 30 seconds.
