How to Install a Google Toolbar on My Toolbar
Install the Google Toolbar if you want your browser to have more games, buttons, gadgets and search boxes. The Google Toolbar comes with a default set of buttons that let you view Google bookmarks and access social sites such as Facebook and Myspace. Google also provides a gallery of additional buttons and widgets that you can add to your toolbar. As you type into the toolbar's search box, it displays suggestions based on your search history and bookmarks. The Google Toolbar is only available for Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Visit the Google Toolbar's webpage (see Resources).

Click "Download Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer or Firefox" near the bottom of the page. Another installation page will open.

Click "Install Google Toolbar" and read the terms of service. Put a check mark next to "Set Google as default search engine" if you want to set Google as your default search engine. Otherwise, leave the box blank.

Click "Accept and Download." A window will prompt you to run or save the installation file. Click "Run." Windows will install the Google Toolbar.

Click "Yes" when asks you if you want to restart your browser. You will see the Google Toolbar at the top of the browser when your browser opens.

Tips & Warnings
Add additional buttons to the toolbar by clicking the "New Buttons" button. Choose from a small selection in the pop-up menu or click "Open Full Gallery" to visit Google's gallery of buttons.
