How to Set Your Internet Browser to Safari

Apple's Safari Web browser is available for both the Mac and Windows operating systems. The browser features Windows integration, which allows Safari to maintain the look and feel of other Windows applications. Safari has convenient tabbed browsing and its handy Top Sites feature gives you instant access to up to 20 of your favorite websites from your homepage. Safari also makes it easy to change your default Internet browser.

      Download and install Safari. See the Resources section for a link.

      Open Safari and select "Edit" from the menu bar at the top of your browser window.

      Click "Preferences." The Preferences dialogue will launch.

      Select drop-down arrow next to "Default Web Browser" under the General tab. Choose "Safari" from the list.

      Exit the Preferences dialogue by clicking the "Close" button in the top right corner of the window.
