How to Clean Arctic Silver
Arctic silver is a grease thermal material that is used in a variety of technological equipment. There are a variety of types, including an adhesive material, which requires the use of the appropriate chemicals to completely clean. Use caution when cleaning arctic silver or applying arctic silver because the material can hurt eyes and is not safe if it gets in the mouth. Though there are different types of arctic silver available on the market, the cleaning technique to get arctic silver off of various materials is similar. Cleaners include two types of chemical.

1
Apply the first of the two arctic silver cleaners to a cloth or paper towel and gently rub at the arctic silver. This will remove the worst of the arctic silver from any flat surface. Avoid heavy scrubbing, which might damage the material beneath the arctic silver.
-
2
Apply a drop or a few drops of the first cleaner onto a cotton swab and clean smaller spaces that the towel is unable to reach. As with the towel, rub gently but do not scrub to avoid damage.

-
3
Apply a bit of the first cleaner to a toothbrush to reach the smallest possible crevices. Clean thoroughly and gently wipe with a clean paper towel.
-
4
Apply the second chemical to a clean area of the towel and clean the material. The second cleaner is designed to remove the residue of the first cleaner and clean the surface of the material beneath.
-
5
Add a drop of the second cleaner to a cotton swab and clean the smaller spaces. Using the toothbrush is not required with the second cleaning material, but it can ensure that even the smallest crevices are cleaned of residue and arctic silver.
