You can add more than one song on a slideshow in Microsoft PowerPoint.

PowerPoint is a popular slideshow and presentation application manufactured by Microsoft as part of the Office line of productivity programs. Users may choose from a variety of tools to enhance their slideshows including adding transitions between slides and incorporating music. Depending on the length of the presentation or its content, users may need to add multiple songs. You can add more than one song on a slideshow in Microsoft PowerPoint by following a few steps.

Instructions

    • 1

Download and Microsoft PowerPoint and open the program. PowerPoint 2007 is used in the following steps, but the process for adding audio is similar for earlier versions of the program. A free trial of PowerPoint is available as part of Office 2007 from the Microsoft web site (see Resources section).

Navigate to the slide where you want the audio to begin. Find the "Media Clips" section on the "Insert" tab and click the "Sound" icon. Select the "Sound from File" option. Locate the folder in which the song file is located using the arrows in the address bar. Highlight the file and click the "Open" button.

Repeat step two for each song file that you want to add to the slideshow. To set when the songs should start and stop, click the song icon and locate the "Animations" group on the "Animations" tab. Click "Custom Animation" to launch the "Custom Animation" task pane. Click the arrow next to the selected song and select "Effect Options." Select and option under both the "Start playing" and "Stop playing" sections, such as "From beginning" and "After current slide," to begin the song at the start of the slide and end it when a new slide appears.
