How to Build A Baseball Stadium Replica
Known as America's pastime, baseball traces its history back to the late 1800s. Building a baseball stadium replica is one way to combine your creativity with your passion for the game. As you improve, you can add greater specificity and detail to your replicas. If you aren't familiar with the stadium, you should take photographs so that you get the details correct.

1
Sketch the baseball stadium from several different angles. Each drawing will familiarize you with the dimensions of the stadium. The drawings should include a perspective of the stadium seats, outside the stadium, and from the street level. Split up the drawings into sections for the outfield, the infield and the various parts of the stadium.
-
2
Decide on the scale of the stadium replica. A typical Major League Baseball stadium is 320 feet from home plate to the outfield, so the scale for a 1/120th replica would be a an inch for each 32 feet.

-
3
Cut a piece of 1/2-inch plywood to the scale that you've selected. The plywood should be smooth on the top, so you should sand the surface if necessary.
-
4
Glue the green felt on the plywood. The green felt is the substitute for the grass on the baseball field. Alternately, you can apply a thin layer of green paint to the plywood.
-
5
Add dirt to where the infield running lanes and pitching mound should be. You should follow your scale closely.
-
6
Build the stadium walls with the plywood. Since the walls of the stadium might have an eccentric design, you might have to cut and arrange multiple pieces of plywood together in order to recreate the design.
-
7
Build stadium boxes and stadium seating to the replica. Both are optional and only necessary if you're going for exact detail. The press boxes can be created from wall outlet boxes by painting them the necessary color.
-
8
Add clay models of players to the field.
