How to Get an MSN Address

There is no charge for creating an @msn.com email address.

Given how common it is to find people with "@hotmail.com" email addresses, you may be interested in getting an "@msn.com" email address instead. In the past, only MSN subscribers could get the "@msn.com" address. Today, this is no longer the case, as anyone can sign up for this account without being a subscriber. Both the "@hotmail.com" and the "@msn.com" email accounts offer the same features.

Instructions

1. Visit the "Create Credentials" page (see Resources for link) on the MSN homepage. Type an email username into the "E-mail address" field and a password into the "Password" and "Retype Password" fields.

2. Complete the fields under the "Create your password reset options" section, which are helpful for recovering your account in the event that you cannot remember your password.

3. Type the characters displayed under the "Verification" section, and then select "Continue." Follow the prompts to enter more information and finalize the registration process.
