If you set up a Facebook Page for your website, you can share your latest content with all your friends and fans on the website. Instructions

    • 1

Go to Facebook and set up a Page for your website. The Pages system is different than a Facebook profile for an individual, as it allows people to create an online brand for their website, cause or business. Add a company photo, link to the website and basic details.

    • 2

Type an update related to your most recent post into the "Share" field of the page. Copy and paste the link from your first content post into the "Share" field on the Facebook Page and edit the link using the tools. Alternately, you can click the "Link" button under the "Share" field to keep the link out of the actual update. Click the "Share" button to post this information.

    • 3

Go to your website administration panel and locate some Facebook sharing widgets. In Blogger, Wordpress and Typepad, there should be several easily found with a quick search. Follow the website's installation procedure to add that widget to your website and set up the widget. If you have issues with this, consult the widget's development blog or help files.

    • 4

Install Insights for Facebook to the website. Insights provides metrics information for those with Pages. Consult the Facebook site to find more information on the application. (See Resources)

    • 5

Invite users to follow the website's Facebook page.

    • 6

Post more content to your website to test the update widget.
