If you find yourself getting ready to move into a new house or are just packing up some items for whatever reason, you may need to pack up your Mac computer. While the ideal way to pack a Mac is to use the original box it came in, that isn't always possible, but there is a way to safely pack your Mac computer in any regular old box that the machine will fit into.

1
Ensure that the box you intend to pack your Mac into will be able to store it properly. A good way to gauge the size of the box needed is to take the monitor size and add three to five inches to compensate for the stand.

2
Pour a layer of foam packing peanuts on the bottom of the box.

3
Wrap the Mac, keyboard and mouse in bubble wrap to protect it from rough transport.
-
4
Place the Mac computer in the box, followed by the keyboard and mouse.
-
5
Fill the rest of the box with foam packing peanuts. Be sure to fill the box completely.
