How to Convert a Quicktime Aiff to MP3
A Quicktime Aiff can be converted to MP3 using iTunes, Switch or dBpoweramp. All of these conversion programs can be downloaded and installed on your computer for free. Once converted, the MP3 can be conveniently burned onto an MP3 CD or transferred to a MP3 player.

Using iTunes

Open iTunes.

Open iTunes preferences and then click "Import Settings."

Select the "MP3 Encoder" from within the "Import Settings" menu.

Click "OK" to confirm this change. Then click "OK" to exit preferences.

Import the Quicktime Aiff by dragging and dropping it into your iTunes library.

Click on the Quicktime Aiff and then click "Advanced." From the "Advanced" menu, choose "Create MP3 Version." Doing so will create an MP3 version of the Aiff. Once converted, this MP3 will appear below the original Aiff file.
Using Switch

Open Switch.

Click "Add Files" and choose the Quicktime Aiff file you would like to convert to MP3.

Choose ".mp3" from the "Output Format" menu.

Choose the output folder that you would like the converted MP3 file to be saved to. Do this by clicking "Browse" and selecting a folder on your computer.

Click "Convert" and the Quicktime Aiff will be converted to MP3 and saved in the folder you selected.
Using dBpoweramp

Click "Browse" and choose the Quicktime Aiff file you would like to convert to MP3.

Choose "MP3" from the "Converting To" menu.

Choose the output location that you would like the converted MP3 file to be saved in. Do this by clicking "Folder" next to "Output Location" and selecting a folder on your computer.

Click "Convert" and the Quicktime Aiff will be converted to MP3 and saved in the folder you selected.
