How to Print Double-Sided in Vista
When trying to save paper, it is a good idea to print contents onto both sides of a single sheet of paper. This is also referred to as double-sided printing. It is possible to do this in Windows Vista, as long as you have a printer that performs double-sided printing. The printer, once it finishes printing the documents on one side of the page, actually brings the paper back into the printer and prints on the reverse side.

Check the user manual of your printer to see if double-sided printing is available. If not, you must purchase a new printer that features this option. Double-sided printing is typically in the printer specs when looking at the hardware.

2
Power on the printer, and connect it to the Windows Vista computer (if it currently is not hooked up).

3
Launch the program you want to print from, and then choose "File," "Open" and select the document you want to print.

4
Select "File" and "Print." The print options window appears on screen. Choose the number of copies you want and the printer you want to use to create the document. Check off "Double Sided," and click "OK." The document now begins to print on both sides of the printer paper.
