How to Export a PowerPoint to Keynote

Apple’s presentation software program is Keynote. Included with the iWork suite of applications, Keynote has many features in common with Microsoft PowerPoint. You can open PowerPoint presentations in Keynote and make changes to them. While images and text from a PowerPoint presentation usually open properly in Keynote, you may find that you have to reset some aspects of the presentation, such as slide transitions.

Instructions

1. Open the “Applications” folder and double-click on the “Keynote” icon.

2. Click the “Open an Existing File” button at the bottom of the “Theme Chooser” window.

3. Click on the PowerPoint file to select it and press the “Open” button. The file will open in Keynote. A warning screen will appear to let you know if any problems occurred as the file opened.
