How to Use a Torrent or Magnet
A torrent is a file that lets you join a particular torrent tracker using a Bit Torrent program. These trackers are set up so that many different users both take and give bits of one particular file all at the same time. This means that you can download a particular file, such as a movie or song, much faster than if you were to download from just one user. Magnet links for torrent programs work just like a torrent file, except that it links you directly to the torrent without having to download the torrent file.

Download and install a torrent program such as Bit Torrent, Azureus, or uTorrent.

Click on your magnet link or download the torrent file.

Select "OK" when a window appears asking whether you want to open the file using your torrent program. The torrent program will open and begin downloading the file to your computer.
