How to Buy Football Cards on Craigslist
Craigslist, the community listing website that connects regional buyers and sellers, has been a hot bed for sports collectibles, including football trading cards. Individual sport card dealers as well as card shows put cards up for sale constantly. Buying a football card from Craigslist can be done over the internet, or the potential buyer can arrange to meet the seller to view the items in person.

Tips & Warnings
EBay owns 20 percent of Craigslist so many card dealers also have an online store within eBay. More of a seller's inventory may be found there.
Seek out football cards with highest grade rating. Cards are usually given a "PSA" grade of 1 through 10, with 10 being best.
If the seller does not have a picture of the football card online, ask them to email a picture of the card to you. Preferably the card will have a grading along with it.
Compare the asking price of the card with a value guide such as Beckett.
Avoid going to someone's home to purchase a football card. If someone is a private dealer without a shop, meet them in a public place.
Avoid a seller who is not willing to show you a picture of the football card.
Only provide credit card numbers or other personal infomation with a reputable payment service such as PayPal. This will protect your credit card and banking information.
