How to Keep Your Laptop Awake
A distinct difference between laptop and desktop computers is that laptops can be used solely on battery power. In order to save your laptop's battery, the energy saver program on your operating system automatically puts your laptop to sleep after a certain amount of time. However, if you want your laptop to act more like a desktop computer that remains awake all of the time, you'll need to change some settings in the operating system.
