How to Tie a Decorative Flag Rope
An indoor flag setup is a suitable decorative piece for inside a veteran's hall, at a soldier's memorial or as patriotic party decor. Assembling an indoor flag pole and putting the flag on the pole is simple enough, but tying the decorative tasseled rope is a bit more tricky. Fortunately, it only takes a few minutes to master the chain sinnet knot used to finish off a decorative indoor flag setup. Does this Spark an idea?

Fold the decorative rope in half.

Adjust where the rope is folded so that one tassel is 3 inches higher than the other.

Push the fold of the rope through the center of the eye screw at the top of the indoor flag pole.

Pull the tasseled ends of the rope through the loop created by the fold in the rope and pull until tightened.

Wrap both pieces of cord around three fingers 1/3 of the way down the length.

Push 1 inch of the two pieces of cord through the loop created around your fingers to form a second loop.

Push 1 inch of the two pieces through the second loop to form yet another loop. Create four connected loops in this manner.

Pull the tasseled ends of the two pieces of cord all the way through the fourth and final loop. Pull the tasseled ends to tighten the knot slightly.

Adjust the four knots so they are all the same size.
