How to Make a Blog: Lesson 1
A blog is like an online journal. The blog author makes entries into the blog, much like a journal, but then publishes it for people to read online. Some blogs are available to everyone while other authors choose to keep them more private. Blogs serve many purposes. For some people, they can be a means to share personal updates with friends and family. For others, they can be a method of advertising a business or communicating ideas. No matter what the reasons behind starting a blog, they are available to anyone and easy to set-up.

Tips & Warnings
Write frequently. Successful blogs are active blogs. Set goals for how often to write. If you have a hard time meeting goals you can write ahead and publish articles on particular dates and times.
If you are trying to attract new readers try to pick a topic that is interesting to many people. Be creative and witty to make yourself stand out from other writers.
If you do not wish to use one of the online hosting sites, you can download WordPress and use their program to write your blog. You can then host it on your own domain.
