How to Record Voice On a MacBook Pro
All Apple computers come with Garageband as a part of the iLife suite. Garageband is a music editing program that allows users to create music, upload sounds and record live instruments. The program can also record voice using your MacBook Pro's built-in microphone. When you have finished making your recording, you can save the file as an MP3 and export it your iTunes library.

Open Garageband by clicking on the icon in your dock. If the program isn't on your dock, click on your Spotlight search in the far right of your menu bar. Type in "Garageband" and Spotlight will list it in the drop-down menu. Click on it to launch the program.

Select the "New Project" tab in the left panel, then double-click the "Voice" icon. A save file dialogue box will open.

Name your file in the "Save As" field and choose where you want to save it. Then click "Create." The Garageband editing window will open.

Click the "Record" button, located on the toolbar at the bottom of the window next to the player controls. Garageband will start recording. Record your track.

Press the "Record" button again to stop recording.

Click the "Rewind" button on the toolbar. Press "Play" to playback your voice recording.

Click "File" on your menu bar and select "Save" to save your recording.

Quit the program by clicking "Garageband" on the menu bar, then click "Quit Garageband."

Tips & Warnings
Export your recording to iTunes by clicking "Share" in the menu bar and selecting "Send Song to iTunes" from the drop-down menu.
