Instructions

    • 1

Place the square of spun silk tissue paper over an old towel. Use a towel you won't mind staining as it will be used to protect your table or work surface.

    • 2

Place a stencil of choice over the sheet of paper. Choose a font that best conveys the message you want to print. If you're artistically inclined, you can print freehand.

    • 3

Dip the tip of a fine paintbrush into the ink well of choice. Choose a color that looks best to you.

    • 4

Brush the tip of the brush very lightly over the surface of the tissue paper. Make sure to use delicate and soft dabbing motions within the stencil. Or use long, light sweeping motions if you are printing freehandedly.

    • 5

Let the sheet of tissue paper dry for about 10 minutes before adding it to a frame or a gift. Your message on the tissue paper can say anything you want. Or you can use a decorative stencil to ink-print designs.
