How to Get the Devastator on Dawn of War 2
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II is a real-time strategy (RTS) game with some elements of a role-playing game (RPG). This means that the player controls squadrons of soldiers and commands them through various missions from a bird's-eye perspective. Unlike the great majority of RTS games on the market, Dawn of War II does not allow users to build a base to train units.

Tips & Warnings
Don't neglect a squadron mission after mission, since they gain strength, gear, and abilities as they become more experienced. A mission may come up where you need a particular set of units, but those units may be too neglected to be effective further in the game. As your Devastator marines gain experience, specialize their abilities to make them excel in the way you use them. A melee-intensive squadron should have plenty of health, since it will move slowly when approaching enemies; a long-range squadron should have good ranged damage. Equip your Devastators with heavy bolters to provide suppressing fire on enemy units so that allies can move easily and quickly in battle, and equip them with Terminator armor to make them the most dangerous units in the game.
Units that don't have cover will very often be obliterated by units that do have cover, so keep your soldiers at least partially covered. Terminator armor on Devastators will occasionally cause them to retreat from battle after attacking, so they require patience and wherewithal to use them at their best.
