DIY RC Degreaser
A 15 oz. can of RC degreaser--- also known as nitro wash or nitro spray---can cost over $7 at most hobby shops. These cans may yield three or four cleanings if you run your vehicle off-road where dirt and sand mixes with oil and unburned fuel, which creates a grimy mess that's difficult to clean without a degreasing agent. However, there's a way to make your own RC degreaser safely, and you can make the degreaser for a fraction of the cost.

Tips & Warnings
Always shake the homemade RC degreaser well before using. The ingredients will separate after sitting for a while.
Spray the degreaser liberally onto the soiled sections of the chassis and wipe clean with a rag.
