How to Rent Cabins in Hocking Hills State Park
When planning a getaway to the Hocking Hills, make sure you book a cabin at least a month in advance, or you may end up staying far away from the Hocking Hills State Park trails and adjacent attractions. While the primary attraction to the southern Ohio region are its waterfalls, caves and cliffs, there are a lot more activities available than just hiking. An outdoor adventure park less than five miles from Old Man's Cave features a zip line and aerial obstacle course. You can also tour art galleries and attend a workshop to create a one-of-a-kind souvenir from of your trip.

Book a Cabin in the Hocking Hills
-
1
Search the Hocking Hills Travel Guide website to discover the types of cabins available. Hundreds of cabins located within a 25-mile radius of the Hocking Hills State Park offer both luxury and economy packages. Some cabin owners partner with the owners of area attractions to offer "stay and play" getaway packages. Although there are a multitude of cabins in the area, they book quickly, especially during the early fall. Last-minute lodging deals often offer significant discounts to book any vacancies for the upcoming weekend. Some cabin owners require a minimum two-day stay during peak seasons and on holiday weekends.

Decide what amenities you would like prior to booking a cabin. Cabins, also referred to as "chalets" and "cottages" by some lodging owners, vary in price depending upon both location and available amenities. The vast majority of cabins in the Hocking Hills area feature private hot tubs and fireplaces. A growing number of cabins are pet-friendly. If a kitchenette, full kitchen or bathroom is included at a cabin it will be clearly listed in the cabin description. Traveling spa services and traveling gourmet chef services are not available at all cabin locations. Such add-on amenities will be listed on the cabin host's website or the website of a Hocking Hills travel guide "attractions and services" Web page.

Read the "rules" for each cabin carefully, even when offered by the same owners. If pets are permitted on-site, a particular set of rules and an additional fee may apply. Rules regarding smoking in a cabin and what type of items are supplied by the cabin owners will be detailed for guest convenience. Some rental cabins provide bed linens, toiletries and cooking materials -- but some do not. If a nightly "quiet time" is enforced on a cabin rental complex, it will also be noted in the lodging rules section.

4
Reserve your cabin online or over the phone after selecting the one that best suits your needs. Nearly all cabins must be secured with a credit card and rented only to adults 21 years old and over.
