How to Open a Sentry Dial Safe

Sentry dial safes have either a three number or four number combination lock. The combination must be dialed in the proper sequence the correct number of times to unlock the safe. Sentry recommends testing the combination several times with the door open on first use to make sure the sequence of numbers is properly recorded. The combination on three-number Sentry dial safes cannot be changed. The combination on four-number Sentry dial safes can be changed if needed.

Instructions

Three-Number Combination

1. Turn the dial to zero.

2. Turn the dial left three turns and stop at the first number.

3. Turn the dial right two turns and stop at the second number.

4. Turn the dial left and stop on the third number on the first turn.

5. Pull the safe door open.

Four-Number Combination

1. Turn the dial to zero. Turn the dial left four turns and stop at the first number.

2. Turn the dial right three turns and stop on the second number.

3. Turn the dial left two turns and stop on the third number.

4. Turn the dial right and stop on the fourth number on the first turn.

5. Pull the door open.

Tips & Warnings

• If the safe has a key in addition to the combination dial, insert the key after dialing the combination. Match the red dot on the lock with the round bump on the key. Turn the key to the right and open the door.
