How to Refill Epson CX4800 Ink Cartridges
The Epson Stylus CX4800 All-in-One inkjet printer uses four printer cartridges. It uses the T060120 black ink cartridge, the T060220 cyan ink cartridge, the T060320 magenta ink cartridge and the T06420 yellow ink cartridge. When the ink in the cartridges becomes low, it can be refilled with ink instead of buying new cartridges. The process for refilling each cartridge is the same, with the sole exception of the color of ink that is used. Following the correct procedure to refill the cartridges is important to prevent damaging the cartridges or printer.

1
Position each cartridge in the Epson chip resetter. Make sure the gold leads on the chip are touching the metal leads on the resetter. The LED on the resetter will flash for three to four seconds and turn green indicating it was successful. If the LED turns red, try again.
-
2
Place the cartridges on a level surface over some paper towels to absorb any spills.
-
-
3
Fill a syringe with 10 ml of black ink. Fill three other syringes with 10 ml of yellow ink, 10 ml of cyan ink, and 10 ml of magenta ink respectively.
-
4
Drill a small hole into the first cartridge to be refilled, directly to the right of the graphic that resembles a bulls eye.
-
5
Insert the tip of the needle with the appropriate color of refill ink into the drilled hole. Slowly inject the ink into the cartridge. Stop filling if the ink starts to bubble out.
-
6
Repeat the process of drilling a small hole and injecting ink for the remaining cartridges to be refilled.
-
7
Replace the cartridges in the printer. Allow them to sit in the printer for 24 hours before use so the ink can settle at the bottom and any air pockets can rise to the top.
-
8
Run one to three print head cleaning cycles on the printer to get the ink flowing well through the cartridge heads.
