Resetting a Belkin router is easy.

There are so many ways to set up security on a Belkin router that when something goes wrong and a specific computer or piece of equipment will not connect, the easiest way to resolve the issue is to master reset the router. Connect the router's power cable to the power receptor located on the back of the Belkin router. Connect the other end to a 110v power source. This turns the Belkin router on, as it does not have a traditional "On" switch.

Locate the reset hole on the back of the router. It is located directly to the left of the Internet/Wan plug.

      • 3

Place the end of a toothpick into the router until the router reboots. When the lights on the Belkin router blink, the reboot is completed.

    Tips & Warnings

    • If security has been enabled on the router, the security will be removed when the router is reset to the factory settings. This means, anyone can connect to your Wi-Fi signal until you set up router security again.
