How to Fix the Windows Error Code 19 in Windows Vista
When you have the Windows Vista operating system installed on your computer you may receive an error when you are loading a CD. Your computer may experience issues reading the disc due to corruption of the registry. This error is known as Code 19 and it can be resolved by manually deleting filter entries from your computer's registry. Before you start to remove the error you should make sure that you have administrator access on the computer that you're using.

Click on the "Start" button and then enter "regedit" into the "Search" text box. Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard and the Registry Editor window will appear.

Click on the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder from the right side of the window. Click on the "SYSTEM" folder.

Click on "CurrentControlSet" folder and the click on the "Control" folder. Click on the "Class" folder and then click on the "4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318" folder.

Right-click on the "Upperfilters" entry and then click on the "Delete" option. Right-click on the "Lowerfilters" entry and then click on the "Delete" option.

Close out of the Registry Editor window and restart your computer. The error code 19 will no longer appear.
