Shorten URLs for use on Twitter.

Twitter is a micro-blogging service that allows users to share photos, music and links, as well as the normal short messages that the service has become renowned for. Posting links to Twitter can be a bit challenging when a user is trying to stay within the 140-character limit, but can be done using a URL-shortening service.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open your web browser and navigate to the URL that you wish to post to Twitter.

      Copy the link. Navigate to a URL-shortening service (see Resources).

    • 3

      Input the URL you wish to shorten in the text box and click "Shorten."

    • 4

      Copy the shortened URL and paste it into your Twitter message.
